In 1977, Richard Carlisle, Sr. founded Northwest Fire Protection (NWFP) in Fort Smith, Arkansas to fill a need for fire sprinkler systems in the region. His son, Richard Jr., “Rick,” followed in his father’s footsteps, becoming passionate about sprinkler work and pipe fabrication saying, “he was born to do sprinkler work.” Together, along with the help of other highly skilled sprinkler foremen and pipefitters, they grew the company to more than 70 team members, holding licenses in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. The team has established itself in these communities as a premier sprinkler company with deep knowledge and expertise along with a commitment to saving lives. As leaders, both Richard and Rick have committed themselves to the professional and personal success of their employees.
As Richard, Sr. looks forward to retirement, Rick anticipates helping his team members grow with Marmic so they can take advantage of increased benefits and develop a personal ownership mindset. Allowing Marmic to guide NWFP’s future was not a lightly made decision but rather the culmination of years of thoughtful and diligent research Richard and Rick conducted until satisfied “they made the best decision for their employees.”
