In 1965, Dan Wilsford’s father-in-law Mr. Webb, along with his business partner, purchased the company Sound Photo which would eventually become Balco Systems in Lubbock, TX. During their tenure, they evolved the company by introducing state-of-the-art critical communication systems to Texas schools. Dan carried on with the business when he purchased it in 1992 from his father-in-law. Today, the Balco team is a highly recognized provider, offering installation and service of the communication tools that hospitals, schools, and businesses rely on to function and stay safe.
As he looked for a company to secure his team’s future, Dan decided Marmic was the best choice, noting “the first two meetings were nothing but about the employees.”
